Recently the hottest site to visit online, Pinterest has exploded in
popularity and is a great way for business with visually appealing products to get exposure.
Combining bookmarks with a visual Board means new links can be added
easily for later reference and be easy to find. Boards are public so you can view existing boards
and “Repin” those items you’d also like to save.
On Facebook we follow people we know. Pinterest lets us connect based on
our Interests, with those who share similar hobbies, though we may never
otherwise engage. I like what you have pinned on hot rods, recipes, or
wedding dresses, so I follow that board. You like my Leonard Cohen board
so you follow mine. We may share pins but not a language!
Pinterest is already driving traffic to websites and how this develops
as a tool for business will be something to watch.
